Where we work

Where we work

One Dollar Project Inc (ODP) carries out its projects in developing countries, as in most cases this is where the assistance is most urgently needed. The key factor here is to locate poverty stricken communities in these countries and establish a project that will benefit the community as a whole while the project sustains itself. This is the first step in the journey to free communities from poverty and implement self sustainability.

Taking in consideration the time difference, distance other challenges associated with running projects overseas, having ‘on the ground’ contacts is of the utmost importance. Attracting reliable, trustworthy, responsible and efficient people who are well acquainted with their local communities to work with ODP is the key to establishing successful ongoing projects. Our contacts supervise the projects and provide constant feedback to ODP. There are rigorous rules which are followed, good communication lines connecting them, and plenty of advice and support from our project leaders.

Apart from this, ODP also establishes other grass roots control measures to safeguard all overseas projects and ensure the benefits of the projects reach those communities that need it
